Prudhoe North’s councillor is delighted that the Tyne Riverside Cafe is finally open.

Councillor Angie Scott said: “Since being elected as county councillor for Prudhoe North I’ve worked with the council to get the Tyne Riverside Cafe reopened.

“The riverside park in Low Prudhoe attracts so many people. It’s a beautiful place for all sorts of activities, walking, cycling, park runs and canoeing and children love the park.

“My main aim was to encourage the council to offer Job opportunities for local people to run the cafe and it has paid off.

“I’m so proud and grateful that Prudhoe folk give me the opportunity to serve such a wonderful community.”

Northumberland Labour leader Scott Dickinson added: “Angie is the sort of councillor people need in their area.

“She is determined to see things through in the interests of the people she serves, however long it takes.

“I’m so pleased for her and the people of Prudhoe that the cafe is now open and providing job opportunities for local people.”
