The Tyne Riverside Park Cafe stands as a remarkable success, attributed to the exceptional service provided by the staff and the quality of the food offered. Regrettably, the outstanding reputation of the establishment is marred by the deplorable condition of the car park. Prospective customers are deterred from patronizing the cafe upon encountering the numerous potholes while existing visitors’ express reluctance to return due to the poor state of the parking area.

Angie Scott County Councillor for Prudhoe North said: “Prudhoe has received notably less investment compared to other areas within Northumberland, such as Ponteland. Northumberland County Council must allocate funds to enhance and maintain this local gem, for which they bear responsibility.”

“Ensuring the Tyne Riverside Park Cafe consistently thrives requires addressing the issue of the deteriorating car park. By investing in refurbishing the parking area, Northumberland County Council can uphold the cafe’s stellar reputation and attract more customers. By allocating funds to improve Prudhoe, the council can demonstrate its commitment to nurturing local businesses and preserving community assets. All areas within Northumberland must receive equitable attention and support to foster growth and prosperity across the region.

Both the staff and I have worked hard to get this back on its feet and we need a little investment in the Car Park to allow it to further flourish”
